Well, actually... I didn't just survive the desert, I loved it! More to come on that. For now, here is a cool video of my next adventure that I leave for in just a few hours!

Far {Africa} is Near
Shane and Shane wrote a song called "Be Near." While listening to the lyrics, I was able to hear some amazing descriptions of who God is in all His glory and how we desire him to be near to us!
"For dark is light to You, depths are height to You. Far is near!"
"For dark is light to You, depths are height to You. Far is near!"
I know during my time in Africa, I will encounter many dark areas...God will still be there! I will encounter many "depths"...yet, God will still be there! And although I will be far away...God will be near.
